How Creators Set Up Payment Info and Tax Forms

Use the following guide to learn how to set up a payment method and a W-9. As a Creator, linking a PayPal and submitting a W-9, or W-8BEN for Non-U.S. individuals, are required for payments to be processed.


Payment information must be submitted for the Creator to receive payments. If the payment setup is not completed within 30 days of the date payment is sent by the brand, it will be refunded back into the brand's account.


How to Do It

Step 1 Ensure your account is verified. If you are not sure you can visit How to Verify my Account.

Step 2 Click on the Payouts section, and proceed with adding General Information including your Payment information.



Currently, payment can only be received through Paypal. A Paypal account will need to be created, if not already done so, in order to complete the next steps. The PayPal email address that you enter does not need to be the same email address that you were contacted by. 



Step 3 Once the Payment information is completed you are now able to submit a tax form by clicking Submit Tax Form. You will be prompted with your country selection. If you are a Non-U.S. Resident, proceed with Setting Up Payments as a Non-U.S. Resident.

Step 4 Select either 'I am a U.S. Person' or 'I am not a U.S. Person' and click Continue.

Step 5 Fill out Personal Information and scroll down to the next section. 

Step 6 Under 'Part I - Taxpayer Identification Number' enter your Federal Tax Classification and Taxpayer ID Number. Under Exceptions enter Exempt codes if applicable. Click Continue.




A Taxpayer ID Number will need to be entered in order to continue.


Step 7 Confirm the information, certify under the penalties of perjury by checking the required boxes, sign name, and click Complete W-9.



Step 8 Lastly, click Submit Form on the final pop-up that appears.



Any withholdings selected in your tax forms will be documented in your payment emails going forward.
