How to Import and Create Product for Compensation

Use the following guide to learn how to import and manually create products for influencer compensation.

Before you begin, you must have a Brand created and if you are importing products an eCommerce store must be integrated.

In this guide, you will learn how to:

Import Products into your Brand

Once products are imported into your brand, you're able to select specific products you would like to make available to your influencers within campaigns and partnerships.

 Quick Tip

Enable your sync settings to eliminate the need to manually update your products, product costs, inventory, and more. Enabling your sync settings can be critical for running your collaborations.

Step 1 From the navigation bar, click on Brands.

Step 2 Select the Products icon.

Warning

Once a product is import you have the options to edit the product options and variants. However, changing SKU's, options or variants can potentially cause problems between Grin and your eCommerce store. It is recommended only to change SKU's, options, or variants on products that were manually created.

Create Products Manually

If your eCommerce store is not integrated, then products must be manually created to be made available as compensation. You are able to add the shipping cost, product options, amount of inventory, and more.

Step 1 From the navigation bar, click on Brands.

Step 2 Click the Products icon.

Step 4 In 'Step 1. Product Details', enter your product's name, select a collection (optional), enterproduct description, choose an image, and select if the products have options (size, color, etc).

It is important to add detail in the Product Description section as this is what your influencer will see when choosing product to represent your brand.

If 'Yes' is selected to allow product options, 'Step 3. Product Options' and 'Step 4. Product Variants' will appear.

Note

Once added, products can be sorted into Collections and Collection Groups. Sorting into collections makes it easier for you to present a group of products for your influencers to choose from.

Step 5 In 'Step 2. Price & Shipping', enter the product cost and product MSRP, and identify if the product requires shipping.

Create Product Options and Variants

Adding product options creates an easy way for your influencers to select their size, color, flavor, etc., rather than the inconvenience of sending emails back and forth to gain this information.

Warning

Step 5 In 'Step 4. Product Variants', click Add Variant to adjust the cost or price for each option.

Note

Product variants allow you to assign SKU's and different pricing to each individual product for better inventory and shipping management. If you are not using this information you do not need to create variants, they will be created automatically when needed.
