How to Setup Affiliate Links to Apply Discount Codes

You are able to create affiliate links that once clicked will automatically apply your influencer's discount code at checkout. This allows you to not only track traffic to your site but also allow the customers to use a discount. Once a sale is made through the link and the code applied, GRIN will track and record the sale only through the link.

In order to set up an affiliate link with a discount code that applies at checkout, you will first need to create a discount code group. Once created, follow the steps within this guide to set up your affiliate link.

Assign Discount Codes before Affiliate Links

Assigning the affiliate link before the discount code will create a link with no codes as it does not yet exist. This will also cause customers to be lead to an error page.

Why do my Affiliate Links are Leading to an Error Page?

If an influencer's affiliate link is directing you to an error page, then this indicates that the discount code was assigned to the influencer after the affiliate link. When assigning a link that has an applied discount code it is important to first assign the influencers their discount code and then their affiliate link. Doing this vise versa will lead influencer to a 404 error page and indicate the page does not exist or cannot be found. The step below will guide you through how to resolve this issue.

Step 1 Click on Manage to enter the influencer's profile.
