UTM parameters are simply tags you add to a URL — when your link is clicked, the tags are sent back to Google Analytics and tracked. In this guide, you will learn how to set UTM parameters in Affiliate Links.
Before you begin, you must have a Brand created and installed your Affiliate SDK and enabled Conversion Tracking for Affiliate Links.
Step 1 Click on Brands and click Affiliate Links.
Step 2 Click New Link.
Step 3 In Step 2. URL Details", click on Add Parameter.
Step 4 You can add the UTM parameter for source, medium, campaign, and custom.
Quick Tip:
Using a "Variable" as a parameter allows that parameter to be customized for each influencer when the link is assigned to them. This is important because it tells your analytics system from which influencer each sale comes from.
